Rocky Mt Masters Year-End Awards – Defined

Rocky Mountain Masters Ski RacingWithin Class: 

1. Individual Championship Awards:  Awarded to the fastest man & woman in each class, to recognize their superior performance in each discipline (SL, GS, SG & DH). This award is based on total cumulative world cup points earned within class.  These awards are given at the end of each championship event on race day. 

2. Overall Class Awards: Given to the top 3 men & women in each class based on cumulative world cup points in all 4 disciplines combined.  These awards are given at the Fall Awards Party. 

 

3. Rocky Cup Team: Awarded to the top man & women in each class based on cumulative world cup points in all 4 disciplines, and there must be at least 2 finishes in each discipline (SL, GS, SG & DH) for a racer to qualify.  These awards are given at the fall awards party. 

 

Outside of Class, or Overall:

 

1. Pesman Pot: Awarded to the top man & woman in RMM who earns the most cumulative world cup points based on overall finish, not within class.  

2. Dercum Cup: Awarded to the top man & woman in RMM who earns the most cumulative world cup points, adjusted for Sportage (age handicapped system). 

3. Dines Plate: Presented to one man and one woman that best embodies the spirit of Masters ski racing.  This is a subjective award that is voted on by the board of directors. 

4. Waibel Cup:  The winner is drawn from a hat containing the names of RMM members who raced (went through the start gate) 24 races during the season. 

5. Most Improved: subjective, decided by BOD 

6. Rookie of the Year: subjective, decided by BOD 

All of these awards are presented at the fall awards party.
